Extending our support for people needing a pet taxi

It’s been a month, well around 5 weeks since Nic joined us, although for us both it feels like longer.

It’s like she’s been here forever, I can’t believe it’s been such a short time. I’ve loved having someone to share the travelling, it’ll be a relief to have more people on board who can cover the longer distance journeys with us!

Solihull was not really one of those areas we received a lot of enquiries for a pet taxi, unlike Birmingham, Manchester and London. So, to help with the demand, Nic has been covering some areas outside of Solihull, while we build the network.

Return on investment

Nic’s earned 20% of her franchise fee back already, that’s surpassed even my expectations. Not only that but £100 in tips too. Happy customers can be very generous. Whilst tips are never expected, it’s always lovely when a customer gives a bit extra. Not only is it additional income (I once had a customer give me a £50 note), it is a way for the customer to show their appreciation and it makes you feel valued. No matter how much, it’s the thought that counts.

Tips are not included in your monthly income so they are not subject to franchise fees, you keep 100% and trust me, they all add up.

Initial outlay

When I set up the franchise business, one of the decisions that had to be made was to specify the type of vehicle required. Due to the service, this needed to be a specific type of vehicle that met the needs of all our customers both human and furry. This can be a sticking point for some people as it’s an additional expense.

Before Nic joined Pets2Places we discussed the need for the car and how it would add to the initial outlay. Now Nic’s been running the service, she can see how the car is essential for this job and how it works perfectly with the service we provide. She’s even had customers comment on how luxurious it is and how special it makes the customers feel to travel in such a lovely vehicle.

Nic has taken that leap of faith, she knows how you feel because she’s been where you are.

Standing on the edge of something big and not knowing whether to take the jump or not.

Here’s Nic in her own words.
