At Pets 2 Places, we use fully adapted cars, not multi crated vans. This means your animal can sit with you which helps them stay calm. We also charge one simple price for our service so it’s easy for you to understand.
Meet Claire
I’m Claire, I started Pets 2 Places in 2014. I saw a gap in the market for a pet transportation service, with my background working with the elderly and my love of animals, Pets 2 Places was born.
I have been an animal lover ever since I was a child and at present I have two very hyperactive but loving and adorable 12 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Larry & Grace. When I was visiting the vets one day I fell in love with an RSPSA rescue dog. Her big sad brown eyes melted my heart and I am now a proud fur mummy to a black Lab x Border Collie called Roxy. She is a bundle of joy and gets on very well with the rest of my animal family.
Sadly my 2 old cats Noodles & Patricia crossed over the Rainbow Bridge at nearly 20 years old. I stayed with them both to the end. We still have cats living with us though. I have passed my love of animals onto my children. My son has 2 cats who are 9 years old Muffin & Fluffy.
I wanted to create a service that was easy to use, easy for people to understand and as stress free as possible.
At Pets 2 Places we use cars like any other taxi service. This means your animal can sit with you which helps them stay calm. We also charge one simple price for our service so its easy for you to understand.
For a long time, I have worked within a customer faced business and owned a home help company, which provided me with an excellent understanding of what is required to go the extra mile for my clients plus I always strive to achieve the highest standard of care possible.
Honesty and integrity are vital ingredients of everything I say and do and being a genuine and hard working person makes my service a success.
I believe that the confidentiality and value of every client must be recognised and respected at all times.
When choosing the right piece of equipment for your dog, the crash tested option will always be better than anything not crash tested.

2014
Pets 2 Places was launched as Pets2vets, taking owners and their pets to the vets.
2015
Additional services such as groomers, kennels and social visits were included. The service is well received in MK.
2016
Pets 2 Places is recognised as the leading pet transport provider in Milton Keynes, being recommended by vets, groomers, kennels and customers
2017
The Pets 2 Places name change came about based on feedback from customers, the business continues to grow, being recognised by Social Services, care agencies and Age UK.
2018
Pets 2 Places are a finalist in the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards for Outstanding Customer Service. Our customers recommend us to their friends and family which brings in 1/3 of our business.
2019
Pets 2 Places are finalist again in the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards. Pets 2 Places win Best Pet Business in the UK at the Animal Star Awards. Claire Harris won Pet Industry Leader at the Women Leaders Award.
2020
Pets 2 Places further extended our services to help clients that were shielding during the COVID pandemic. Pets 2 Places received the Highly Commended award, coming 1st runner up in the Single Women Business Network Awards for Excellence in Customer Service as well as being a finalist in the Acing Adversity category. We are also proud to have won the Prestige Awards for Best in Specialist Transport Service and Southern Enterprise Awards for Industry Leader in Pet Transport.
2021
Pets 2 Places have lots of success including at the SME MK Bucks awards where we are a finalist in Best Customer Service. Other achievements are The National Business Woman’s Award – finalist of Business Owner of the Year. Innovation & Excellence Awards – winner Pet Transport Specialists of the Year. Encouraging Women in Franchising awards – finalist – New Woman Franchisor of the Year. Our final award of the year was Single Mums Business Network Awards where Pets 2 Places win Excellence in Customer Service.
2022
Pets 2 Places wins at the UK Transport Awards taking the winner of the Best Pet Transport Business. We are proud to have taken on our first franchisee for Pets 2 Places Solihull. Pets 2 Places wins the prestigious #SBS founded by Dragon Den star Theo Paphitis.
2023
– We take on a new franchisee Chris Dancey in Pontefract & Wakefield – Pets 2 Places wins Ethical Franchise award at the Single Mums Business Network Awards – Single parent organisation Gingerbread run a special feature on founder Claire Harris on her journey with not only building a business but raising children solo
2024
– Pets 2 Places are finalists in the British Small Business Awards for – Innovative Business – Claire Harris makes the finals of Women Who Soloprenuer awards – Franchisees make the finals of several awards, both local and national
