A Tribute To Nic Our Solihull Franchisee

A Tribute To Nic Our Solihull Franchisee

In October 2023 we lost our Solihull franchisee, our lovely Nic.

This week would have been Nic’s 53rd birthday, as we pass Nic’s birthday it’s given me time to reflect on her journey with us.

Nic was the first franchisee of Pets 2 Places Ltd, joining us in January of 2022. Nic had come from a background in admin, childcare and working with the elderly, making her the perfect fit for the business. Nic wanted a role where she was giving back to her community and feeling fulfilled in her everyday life.

With a quirky bubbly personality, Nic was a huge hit with the customers, nothing was ever too much trouble for her and she was always happy to go above and beyond for every customer.

The shock this has left both to us a business and to the customers in Solihull, has been hard to deal with.

Customers crying at the news, head office Franchisee’s in disbelief that someone so young and full of life could be taken at a time when they were thriving.

Our Nic will forever be in our hearts, and those of her customers who got to know her over her short time with us.

Nic loved her role here with us and I’m blessed I got to know her, not just as a franchisee but also as a friend.

In Nic’s memory we have created a book of remembrance for her family so they too know how much Nic’s customers loved and valued her.

I’ll leave you here with some final words from Nics’ customers

“We miss you so much my friend”

“Thank you Nic for all your kindness and help with Noorie, especially as we moved her here from India. Rest in peace”

What an incredibly kind lady, not just to me but to my whippet cross Alfie too. My heart goes out to all of Nics friends and family”

“She was so kind and understanding and we spoke like friends on the way to the vets”

“People like Nic leave an impression”

“I am very sorry to hear about Nikki. She was a very kind and sympathetic person who gave great support to me and my friend at a difficult time. We are everlastingly grateful for her kindness and understanding at a traumatic time”

“Nic was absolutely lovely – so gentle and caring and throughout the lengthy journey to and from the vets she had our Barney dog’s comfort in mind”

“In loving memory of Nic Hughes, Nic wasn’t just a pet taxi driver, she was a compassionate guardian. She poured her heart into every ride, ensuring each pet felt cherished and every owner reassured. Her sudden departure leaves a void, not just in the routes she travelled, but in the hearts of the pets and people she touched”

“She was such a lovely lady my words may fall short but my thoughts go out to all who were blessed to have met Nic. May she be at peace. Sending love to loved ones xxx”
