Pet transport service - Call us today - 07548 926220
This is an expression I have heard a lot recently. You see I thought it would be a good idea to buy a house and renovate it! Ha. If you’ve seen the film The Money Pit with Tom Hanks, that’s my life.
The daily frustration of how slow the build is going, the chaos of living in a building site. And feeling like it never looks any different.
But then I think about my business.
Building a business
Was Pets 2 Places a success within a few weeks of launching?
No, of course not. It takes time to build a business.
It takes time to build a reputation, gain customers, gain knowledge, gain brand recognition, gain the respect of peers and leaders within the industry. It takes months if not years to make your way up those Google rankings.
Interestingly I have been asked a lot recently about the ins and outs of my business.
- Do I need to be a registered taxi?
- Do I need taxi insurance?
- How does that work with having an owner in the car?
When I started the business, it was slow going, the answer to the questions took months to find or work out. Not something I’m likely to just give away.
Like my house, it’s taken months of plugging away, day in day out of hard work to not only get to the top of the Google rankings but to have been voted the Best Pet Business in the UK at the Animal Star Awards 2019.
Success doesn’t just come overnight, not to a new business, not to a new industry. When I started this venture people thought I was bonkers – after all I was launching a new product to a new market (diversification as Ansoff would call it) but with the added challenge of being a brand new business with no other products to offer.
Let’s face it how many other pet taxi businesses are out there?
It’s taken over 6 years to secure my place as the country’s leading expert on pet transport, a role I take very seriously. Educating owners and other pet businesses on how to transport pets safely and responsibly is very important. If everyone is doing it correctly it means lives are saved in the event of an accident.
So why am I looking for franchisees to join me?
Simple, this service is needed and sought after up and down the country. I get calls from out of our current operation area EVERY. SINGLE. DAY!
Why is there such a market for this service?
Some people don’t drive or don’t have access to the vehicle, maybe they just need that extra support to help get them where they need to go, or they don’t want to have to try and park in a busy area.
There are plenty of reasons and very few options…
- Walking may be too far, or it is too hot/cold
- Human taxis are not particularly fond of taking furry passengers
- Public transport can be cumbersome
And we don’t just take pets to vets, we can take our customers anywhere they need to go with their pet.
Have you considered a career change?
Are you finding that the motivation to get to work is waning?
Are you looking for a change?
Looking to do something rewarding?
But worried about the risks?
That’s why people join franchises, it’s already proven to work.
The devil is in the detail, which is certainly true in this case. It’s the little things that make us the best. Not just the biggies like knowing the answer about insurance, our franchise model has been developed from the ground up using my knowledge and experience as both a business owner and a franchisee.
