Why our company Ethos means so much

pet groomers

I remember taking our very first client to their vet appointment. It was exciting and, from chatting to the client on the journey, I instantly knew how valuable this service would grow to be. Not just a simple pet transportation service, this service would be different. It would champion the local community, providing not just pet transport but going above and beyond to help people.

This is our ethos – we are not just about making money, we genuinely want to help people. Over the years we have been operating there has been plenty of examples where that extra mile means so much.

After an emergency call from a local PCSO we returned to the owners home to find the cat had bled on the owners bedding so we stopped to change the sheets for him – can’t have a 90-year-old man sleeping in a soiled bed can we?!

One customer struggled with reading and writing but needed to fill in a form. It took and hour to help someone who regularly donates items to the charities we support.

The charities we support are local to us. We collect donations from customers or people who know about us. The charity then auctions off to raise much-needed funds for things such as vet bills, facilities and food for the animals in their care.

We also support rescue centres by regularly featuring their posts of pets looking for their new furever home across our social media network.

Supporting other businesses

As we spoke to many customers over the years, it was clear that trust and bond formed means they look to us a guide to help find other services.

As part of our connected community programme we founded the Pet Networking Group. This group is specifically for pet-related businesses to meet, share what they do and learn from other businesses. This has been invaluable. We now have a directory of trusted dog walkers, groomers, kennels and even a fashion accessory business we can confidently recommend to our clients.

But that is not all…

We also make community connections with wider charities such as Age UK. This means we can contact people if our clients need that extra support with shopping or a befriending service.

Growing with care

This ethos of local community and excellence in customer care is what sets us apart. Every team member we take on, every franchisee who buys into the business, they must also have this deep-seated desire to help our clients – both human and furry.

If you need to get your pet to an appointment, the kennels or maybe even to see your family bubble over the festive period, just get in touch.
